@Oznell   I have never thought of using brown sugar in this recipe. I like brown sugar and I'm sure that it would be very tasty

in apple crisp. I'll have to try it. Maybe, I'll try half brown and half white, like in a Toll House cookie recipe.

   With all white sugar, the topping tastes like a sugar cookie.

 

  I have my grandmother's recipe for bread pudding and it has white sugar. When I make my bread pudding, I use brown sugar

and I do like that better.

@Enufstuff ,  and I'll try making my next crisp with a preponderance of white sugar!
