Thank you all very much. Dressing Toni for Easter reminded me of the days when I dressed up and later when I dressed my three daughters for Easter and to go to church.

Many of us remember those days with a new dress and shoes.

New spring hats, gloves and a little purse were all part of our outfits. Living in the northeast, many times we had a new spring coat.

One year I made matching capes for my daughters to wear over their dresses. I made most of their dresses when they were little. I loved making the dresses in pretty pastel spring colors.

I also dressed my two boys in new suits, but did not make their clothes.

Easter was fun when they were little, coloring Easter eggs,

their excitement to see what the Easter Bunny left in their baskets and dressing up for Easter Sunday Mass.

Then we always had a nice Easter dinner with grandparents. I enjoyed making holidays special for my family.

Your message brought back many happy memories! Woman Very Happy

I loved Easter as a kid. My mother always bought us new spring coats--always in pastel colors and with matching hats! But alas it was always too cold to wear them to church on Easter morning because we always walked to church, as everyone did back then.

I bought a 1960s "Easter" coat from a vintage store on Etsy. Yellow light-weight wool with bracelet sleeves and a high collar and big buttons. Alas, it was too cold to wear it on Easter. But my mom's eyes popped when I wore it to visit her in memory-care. "Where did you get that coat?! That's what we used to wear!"

Such wonderful memories! Thank you, @Enufstuff ! And Happy Easter to you too.

@beach-mom @Kachina624 @AuntMame @Kalli

  Thank you very much.

@AuntMame Your 60's yellow coat was quite a lucky find.

How sweet that your mother remembered wearing

                     that style coat.

In 1966 I made a light grass green coat for myself for Easter. That Easter I also made matching dresses for myself and my two baby daughters. They were in cotton with

a tiny floral print in pink, yellow and green.

Those fishnet tights were popular that Spring and I wore green, the same shade as my coat. Accessories were a yellow hat, yellow patent leather shoes a matching clutch purse.  We wore some wild colors in the 60's. I loved it.

I LOVED those 1960s floral green dresses! My best friend had one that her mother sewed her for her birthday, and I'll never forget how cute she looked in it.

And the fishnet tights! They were banned at my school. Woman LOL

The 1960s colors and prints were...just amazing!

Thank you for the memories!

I adore Toni's beautiful dress! I love dotted swiss material. The pink shoes and flowers are perfect too. This is probably my favorite of all the pretty dresses you've shared with us. You are so talented.

@Enufstuff  Thank you for your sweet words, EnuffStuff 🤗!  You're a dear heart, and it is such a treat to see your beautiful Toni creations.  You are a very gifted artist, and you inspired me to get back into my artwork again! The lovely pastel color palette for Easter Toni reminds me of one of my favorite candies- Jordan Almonds  🙂. I wrote a reply to your great snake jewelry posts if you want another fun little post to read.  I hope you're having great weather where you are tonight!

@SportyShorty07   Thank you very much.

I'm so glad that you are creating art again. Are you

working on anything now? I would love to know what you

have done recently.

It's funny that you mentioned Jordan Almonds. I like those too.

In my kitchen, I have a vintage milk glass hen on nest candy dish. In it, I keep Jordan Almonds that I get from Nuts.com.

I have tried other brands but their's are the best. The colors are so pretty in the white candy dish. I will eat a few at

a time, but not every day. I do eat a little chocolate each day,

mostly Dove dark chocolate or Ghirardelli 72% cacao.

Dark chocolate has nutritional benefits, so I consider it a nutritional supplement and I'm sticking to that. Smiley Happy

It is Spring, but the weather has been rather cold here.

Today is 40's and yesterday was only 30's. The water in the birdbaths froze. The day before, it was actually snowing for a while. One day last week, it went up to 70. That is just our crazy New England weather. We don't know what to expect from one day to the next. There is no packing away cold weather clothes until mid or late May. I like Spring when it is warm and sunny.

Then it can go right to hot and humid. Even in June and July, we can still get cool rainy days.

It must be nice weather where you live in California.

I did see a your reply about snake jewelry and the pendant that you want from Banter. I replied that I saw the pendant and that it would be perfect on your Singapore chain.

If you meant that you left another post, I'll check if I can find it.

You take care and enjoy Spring and all the loveliness

returning again. Today I'm hanging up the forsythia wreath.

Highlighted

@Enufstuff  You're welcome, Enuffstuff! Thank you for your kind words and lovely messages 🤗.  I'm working on illustrating a children's book that I plan to self publish next year- I'm trying to figure out the characters since I already wrote the storyline. I think I'm also going to try to get back into my watercolor paintings of plants. I love that you keep your delicious Jordan Almoonds in your hen candy dish! I bet it makes the experience even more special to reach in and grab a few almonds as a treat. I'll check out nuts .com to look into purchasing your favorite Jordan Almonds. I consider dark chocolate a nutritional supplement too 😁😉. Jordan Almonds are also healthy since almonds are a great source of protein and fiber. I love candy, so I eat a fun sized piece or a little bit almost everyday.

Wow- you get a lot of weather changes in gorgeous New England! I hope the birds know how to ice skate on that frozen bath. I bet your forsythia wreath is gorgeous on your door! The weather is really nice here- some wind and sun wthout being hot out.  It rained a lot yesterday so I stayed indoors and only walked outside to check the mail.  Today will be cold with a little fog and maybe some rain.  Thank you for you compliments on the little snake pendant that I plan to purchase! I checked online and their out of stock today, but they should do a restock soon.
