Oh your post is right up my alley of pet peeves. It amazes me that anything gets done anymore. Yesterday, we had a strange situation occur. A van drives up to our house, about 5 people in it. Two nicely dressed women came to the door. Husband opened the door and all they wanted to know was whether we spoke Russian and did we know if any of the neighbors spoke Russian. What??? We're out in the middle of no where.

So getting back to the point, I felt it might be a good idea to phone our local police and inquire/report this strange occurrence. Guess what. I got a recording with seven different options to leave a message. I tried reaching the patrol officer and got no answer. My only remaining option would to be to call 911 and this wasn't an emergency in my opinion. So Monday morning I'm going to call and ask them how one gets ahold of anyone of the weekends. Ack!

I have an awful time getting return phone calls. I'm not happy about it, but I keep calling until I reach the person/company. I probably have more examples of not talking to someone on the first call.
