I'm not even going to say 2020 was the worst. I think depending on who you talk to, they may remember worse years.
We just have to look up to sun.
Remember the smiley face guy.
@qualitygal, I remember many worse years (I've unfortunately had a tough life) and I never, ever ask what else could go wrong.
It has been a very rough day. I woke up to news that my sister's friend's twin babies were stillborn today. They were due in January. Then my dog had a seizure. This was all early this morning. So while I was sort of kidding on the superstitious stuff, the day is living up to it's name.
@Qgirl26j, such tragic news.

Yes you mention how perfect your life is in all your posts. I can't believe you think everyone "chooses" "doom and gloom". Very bad things happen to people that are completely out of their control. Life can turn on a dime.

I am truly happy for your great year.
Many of us have lost loved ones, both human and furry, in this year. We continue offering our help and service to others, while putting ourselves at direct risk. Though fearful for our own lives, and family, we face our losses, and maintain our courage as best we can. I feel your scolding is unseemly.

Overall bad for most. For me and my family, there have been many, unfortunately, that were much worse.
Friday the 13th? Right now 3 of out remaining 4 felines are all black, and the majority of them that have crossed The Bridge, were also all black.

@Spurt Awwwww, what a sweet baybeeeee! I love black cats! I think they're lucky and beautiful! And as for 2020 being the worst year, not even close to the worst year of my life: That would be 1976. That was one disaster after another for me. In fact, the events of that year led to our divorce 2 years later. 2020 has been bad but nothing like what I went through back then.

I work full time and today is FINALLY FRIDAY! It is the best day of my week! No number on a calendar can change that.
But, yes, the year has been filled with horrors, most ongoing. The arrival of 2021 won’t magically cause any of it to disappear.
Lots of hard work ahead for all of us if we hope to turn things around.
