@hckynutjohn   I am truly sorry for your loss,  I know how painful it is to lose a furry friend, I;ve buried more than I care to count but I loved every one of them.  My mother is waiting to greet him.  She will  take good care of him and all who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge

Re: Toby crossed Rainbow Bridge

18 years ago we took in a stray who happened to be pregnant.  She had 5 kittens and we found a home for one and ended up keeping the rest.  We now have one left from that litter.   We just lost one of the girls 12-30.  Passed on her own and just sudden and not sick but slowly going down hill.   I planned on taking her to the vet that day to be put to sleep and a person just knows sometimes.

My sister  passed away  December 2020 and I took in her cat and older too.  We  took in another stray a couple years ago and she is younger.  My dog passed away in July and we adopted a senior dog.  He was just meant to be here too.

So we now have one dog and three cats but many an animal has come to live with us over the years. Something special about each and everyone of them.

Sorry for your loss, but those memories are priceless.

Re: Toby crossed Rainbow Bridge

@hckynutjohn , so sorry to hear this.  I'm sure Toby had a wonderful life since I know you and your wife are animal lovers.  I'm glad you had a special bond with him but I know that makes it very hard to lose them.  My condolences.

Re: Toby crossed Rainbow Bridge

@Roscoe the Rascal

We have 2 remaining felines, with the oldest being 20. Her mother had 8 kittens under our deck, she was one of them. I managed to humanely trap all of them, but her.

Had all 7 of them fixed, but by the time I trapped her? It was too late. She ended up having a litter of 6, also under our deck.

Of the first litter of 8, we adopted out all of them but our 20 year old. Of her 6 kittens we adopted out 5, so she was inside with her son. Her son, our Tuxedo, we has euthanized in August because of constant seizures, which could not be prevented.

We had 13 indoor only felines for many years. All of them were were born either on our prior home, or present homes property. Over our 22 years on this property we have had several litters we raised, and adopted out probably 40-50 kittens, and obviously kept many.

We are now down to 2 felines and our dog Lily. Our 2nd feline is 10 years old, also born on our property. Unfortunately his mother was killed on the highway above our property, so we took in him and his brother. All for Indoor Only homes.

Thank you for what you have done to help the helpless animals, and for your thoughts of us losing our precious Toby. ♥️
