@goldensrbest  Make new memories....make them for someone else...a needy family....a needy child....give time or food or toys to a pet shelter....or offer your time serving homeless meals  or  help deliver seniors meals with meals on wheels..... and do not focus on what you USE TO HAVE.

Give someone else good memories and in doing so, create new good...nice ...fun... memories for you.

@goldensrbest I'm sorry for your feelings of loss. Christmas can be a lot of work, both physical and emotional, and so often one can feel like they're just going through the motions. I don't necessarily envy others their joy in the season, I just wish I could be a bit more there with them. I feel more this year than ever that my heart just wasn't in it. I understand that Christmas is a shadow of its former self, but you know, it's what we've got.

Woman Wink

Merry Christmas to you.

@SeaMaiden. That's a bit harsh to tell someone not to focus on a lost child. I also wish you Blessings for a his season.

@proudlyfromNJ  It was not meant to be harsh or otherwise.  But, to be miserable and self consumed with grief....when you could use those  emotions to make another life brighter, happier,  it is the best way to get out of a dark place and feel joy again.     I know from experience.  To grieve is normal..and there is time to grieve.....

Of course you never forget a loss...but to live in it and dwell on it to the point where you feel no joy is no way to live.

You can not go back in time....only forward.

@SeaMaiden.  I apologize. I didn't know you had lost a child. I cant think of anything more heartbreaking. I am glad you were able to move forward with life.
