Our nice poster Dulwich, who is from England, just got back from a brief trip over there (she's a LOGO friend and stated in that forum that she travels to England often).   @Dulwich, I'm wondering what you heard while just over there about Meghan Markle?   I know what I've read in People about her recent walkabout in Nottingham shortly after her engagement announcement, but I wonder what you heard first hand?  Thanks. If lived lived closer to you I'd ask you over a cuppa tea!  Smiley Happy

Re: To Dulwich Re Meghan Markle

After that first appearance as a couple; Meghan returned to the USA to spend some time with her mother.  That's why there's been no "Meghan watch" this week.

Hi, @Pearlee!    Your notification is plain text rather than an alert, so I'll add one so @dulwich doesn't miss your thread.   I agree, it would be interesting to know what she might have to say.

            Have a lovely afternoon!image.gif

Hi @dooBdoo  I did put in an alert to Dulwich in the body of my first post FYI.  But two alerts don't hurt. Smiley Happy    Happy holidays to you. Smiley Happy

Hi, again, @Pearlee!   Your "@" notification is plain text -- in your OP and in my quote of it.   When an alert/notification is "live" we can click/tap on it (in the original post and also in any posts quoting it) and the hyperlink takes us to the person's profile.

If it's plain text, nothing happens when we tap/click on it, and that means the poster didn't get an alert.   The "@" notification system is glitchy...  often while we're typing the name gets converted from the hyperlink back to plain text.   That's probably what happened to yours.   I usually check after submitting the post, just hovering the cursor over the @+name is usually enough to see if it's a hyperlink or not.

Hope that makes sense.   I got zero sleep last night...  brain isn't completely in gear today.🙃😜

Thanks for the Happy Holidays!  Good wishes to you, too! 😊

@dooBdooyes, your dulwich notification is a true notification  (highlighted and clickable). the one that @Pearlee used does not show up as a notification, but plain text.

i can say with relatives in london (who are british born citizens and some british citizens not born in the UK), that.they personally consider this a "not so big deal" event.
