The water bill at the Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis residence appears to be pretty low after recent revelations the couple made about their family's bathing habits.
In a recent appearance on Dax Shepard's "Armchair Expert" podcast, they admitted they're not that into bathing themselves or their two children, Dimitri Portwood, 4, and Wyatt Isabelle, 6.
The conversation started when Shepard explained his ongoing disagreement with co-host Monica Padman. The two have dissenting views over whether people should use soap. "You should not be getting rid of all the natural oil on your skin with a bar of soap every day," he said. "It's insane."
Kunis agreed with Shepard and was very candid about her bathing ritual. "I don't wash my body with soap every day," she shared.
In fact, the couple says they don't bathe their kids at all until they "can see dirt."

The responses I read on various sites about "privileged people" were interesting. Some shared how if they sent their kids to school not bathed, they would receive a visit from a social worker.
I think these two are just attention seekers. Maybe any attention even negative, is their nirvana...š©

@Trinity11 I too read those comments and understand them. As far as the attention seekers, some things are better not shared and who cares what they do.

@gertrudecloset @Trinity11 - Personally, I don't care in the slightest what any celebrity or celebrity couple thinks about anything. I agree that they will say anything to create a controversy worthy of publication or media attention. These people are irrelevant to me. All of them.

@gertrudecloset @Trinity11 I had been having skin issues (itchy, burning, red) for quite awhile so went to a new dermatologist who said that many soaps can be too much for one to wash with daily & especially for young people. I was surprised that she said to clean private parts daily if needed but otherwise showers every other day or even less often depending on what's needed.

Maybe there is context missing here? They don't bathe everyday with soap doesn't mean they don't get in water and use a cloth and perhaps some natural product other than a bar of soap.
Maybe they don't scrub down the kids unless they really need it? I can remember feeling guilty if my daughter didn't get a bath or shower every night before bed. I doubt these people walk around dirty.

Looking at her mane, I would doubt that she spends 3 minutes in the shower. Well then, she lost any credibility with me when she went and did the commercial for Emirate Airlines, showing her coming out of a shower they have on board for their passengers, and clinking a champagne cocktail. HA! They're so full of themselves. Keep your stinky ass over there and I'll jump in the shower with my Philosophy Shower Gel!
Who ever said it was a long shower? It was a scripted commercial written by a writer, not JA's words or opinions.
I don't know about JA specifically. but a lot of celebs do commercials and donate the whole payment to some charity. Personally, I think that's a good thing.

Sounds stinky!
I agree about soap being too harsh. But you don't have to use soap in the shower. Just use a gentle bodywash and you'll be fine.
The rest sounds odd and further cements my view that armchair experts are no substitute for professionals with training and standards.
Do they not know that oil turns rancid?

My skin gets dry if I use soap every day all over. Same with my hair, so I can't really say anything. My kids would be in the shower all day if I let them and loved bathtub time when they were little. I'm sure they are exaggerating to get a response to some degree though.

Yes @colleena a lot of dermatologists must give that advice because I received the same. I don't follow it, though, because I am far too conditioned by my habits to shower once or twice a day. Beside, nothing nicer than a shower with Philosophy Lemon Custard shower gel after a warm summer day.šš
