'Tis The Season

[ Edited ]

Yesterday was "tumbleweed Tuesday", the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving, so our Albuquerque tumbleweed snowman was put in place.  He's made of multiple tumbleweed, sprayed white, and attached together.  His hat is a 55 gal barrel to give you an idea of his size.

He's located on I-40 right in the middle of the city for the enjoyment of visitors and residents alike.

Note one of our four inactive volcanoes in the background.  The Petroglyphs National Monument is at their base.

@Kachina624

That's the biggest tumble weed snowman I've ever seen!  They don't find tumble weeds that size do they?  They put many together to make each part?

Hopefully the snow stays fake.....real snow is too dangerous to drive on.

That's a big guy.  Here in CA it's illegal (truly) to gather or take tumbleweeds for your own reasons.  It's because some animals depend on them for survival.

Tuesday here was taco Tuesday.  Muchas enchilladas.
