Not me. I hate the cold weather with a passion and, because of thyroid issues, really struggle with the cold. I’m cold all the time in the winter.

I’m beside myself with happiness that the hot weather and sunny days are finally here.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

On the other hand, I'm tired of weather in the 50's and 60's only to be teased by an occasional 70 degree day ending in rain. I haven't even put out my patio furniture yet. They promised us 70 degree weather this week, and it has already fallen apart and moved backward instead of foreward. Seattle never has extreme heat or humidity, but I want my mild Seattle summer, and I want it now!!!

My grandson and his fiancée spent the holiday weekend with us. They both grew up in Florida and moved to Baltimore for their jobs. They’re starting to see that their summers in Baltimore may not be all that different from their memories of Florida. However, the day they left us in upstate NY, it was 75 degrees with low humidity. They didn’t want to go home. All our long cold winters were forgotten with our gorgeous summers.

We lived in upstate New York many years ago. I wish we had never left.

Summers in the South are miserable.

That reminds me of a cat I knew who would lay on the AC vents, which were in the floor, in the summertime.

The older I get the more I dislike the hot heat .And having to do yard work in it is even worse.  Last week we had two days of close to 70 degree weather and I loved it. I am glad I live in a state that has all four seasons.

We have 4 seaons here in North GA. winter, summer, summer, and summer. Temperatures hovering close to 100 and no rain in sight. I feel for those of you who are living in the part of the country suffering with flooding rains. I pray for relief soon.

@FlowerBear  I don't know where you are but I live in the Northern Va area.  It's been terrible here.  Yesterday and today in the 90's with unbearable humidity!

I don't mind the hot as much as the humidity makes me crazy!  There's a difference.

It isn't always humid when it's hot (at least where I am).  I've always had 'issues' when the humidity is high.

My daughter in Denver said she loves Virginia (she was born here) but when she thinks of the humidity, she's glad she's in Colorado!  Ha!

I don't have a thyroid so I REALLY suffer with temps.  Thyroids regulate temperatures.

I was supposed to go out today but my granddaughter couldn't get the pedicure with me, so I stayed inside.  I'm glad I did.

As with every day lately, it looks like we're about to have thunderstorms.

It seems like it's really early for all of this.  This is the kind of weather we usually have in August!

Looking out the window now I see the rain starting.  Here we go.

I get nervous with May thunderstorms as my house has been hit 4 times!  Well, 2 times it was the trees right next door to the house but one of those bounced off of the tree and caught the roof on fire.

We couldn't live in the house for 5 full months.  Fingers crossed.

When you hear a thunderstorm, think of Annabelle.  I don't live in fear because I figure I can't control the weather, but it gives me pause whenever I hear that clap of thunder.

My cat Katie is petrified of rain or thunderstorms.  She's like a weather vane.  When she's nowhere to be found, I know a storm is coming.  That means she hiding somewhere in the house.

I feel so sorry for her.

It's miserable here in Fl. Idk why anyone would want to retire or vacation here. As soon as my son graduates h.s. & goes into the military, I'm gone...

Our weather in the Southwest has been much cooler and wetter than normal.  We have not yet hit 90°, although we'll get to 88° this week-end.  We should be well into the 90s by now, and normally we get no rain until the monsoon in July.  It has been downright cold in the mornings.  It has been so nice.  The Rio Grande River is running higher than I've ever seen it.  Albuquerque Fire and Rescue has to rescue 12 people this week who just had to take kayaks out and got caught in snags.

This is hysterical!  I'd soooo love to move where sun means not just light but HEAT!

Summer in the PNW just means the absence of constant rain.
