I am having a girl’s dresser and chest delivered today. The driver will only be delivering 2 pieces and no extras. Would you tip? If so how much? Thank you

@joann1218  Do they set the furniture up and take away the carton and wrappings?

I would think that if this is where it was purchased a tip is not necessary.

NOW: when we had 2 men and a Truck move our stuff from in the loft to our newly built addition we did tip and had snacks for them.

Old furniture already out. I don’t know about how it is boxed

I always try to tip for deliveries. These guys have a long day and it's a nice thank you. Especially if there are stairs involved. I keep 2 tens ready for small jobs, 2 twenties for bigger jobs, then if there are 2 delivery persons I can tip each.

I always tip. A dresser and chest should be 2 people. I personally would give each $10.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

Agree with @Frantic49  minimum $10:each delivery person. If you got food delivered I assume you tip, so why wouldn't you tip for furniture?

I wouldn't tip if you paid a delivery fee. Tipping is out of control.
