Re: Time to fall back this weekend.

At the risk of getting slapped, how many days til spring?    lol  Sorry, I just dread long dark winter days and nights.

DD has a long commute to work and I worry when the roads are bad.   DS works outside alot in a cherrypicker no less.  I always worry about someone hitting the truck when the roads are snowy and icy.

I hate when it gets dark so early! Wish they would just leave our clocks alone.

Thank the Lord.  It's been bad news and deaths all around our town this week and we need that extra hour home Sunday morning to just get our bodies straight and our minds ready for hearing the WORD.

Looks like DST begins on 3/8/20, so 127 more days. Spring is a mere 140 days away (give or take a day). Smiley Sad

Re: Time to fall back this weekend.

Would someone explain how we get an extra hour of sleep? There's still 24 hours in a day, the day doesn't magically lengthen to 25 hours until daylight savings times starts again, does it? (if that sounds snarky, it's not intended to, I'm honestly curious)

@sgraham30

At the magic hour of change, Sunday Early 2:00am....

magic happens and the clocks reverse to 1:00am.

Boom, extra hour.

Re: Time to fall back this weekend.

Count me in too as not liking the change.   In the summer at 8:30 pm the sun is out and I have lots of energy raring to go.  As the nights grow longer, 4:30 pm, dark and I just want to get into bed and go too sleep.  Too bad, I'm still at work.

LOVE LOVE LOVE standard time and wish it were the norm year round.

there is no need for daylight savings time.

We voted to end this in Cali but so far nothing has been done.  Don't know when this will happen but I'm looking forward to it!!!
