Hmm -  the architects of AI

Time's first cover pays homage to the “Lunch atop a Skyscraper’ image.

I just saw that. Not sure I like this AI thing. Guess I'm just old. I'm sure it will replace a lot of jobs at some point.

Re: Time Person of the Year 2025

I don't like when I search something now, there is an explanation or definition from AI, instead of google and often it is wrong or not anything to do with what I asked.

It's like when you do a text with voice and it comes out all wrong.

I don't like AI pictures either.

I don't know what the benefit is, personally anyway and I'm not going to search and ask it what it thinks it's benefit is!Woman Frustrated

I absolutely hate AI simply because we have no idea if what we are seeing is fact or AI. I wish there was a watermark or something that told "the rest of the story".

Did we check if this announcement and magazine cover is AI?

I trust nothing anymore...

Re: Time Person of the Year 2025

TIME: 2025 was the year when artificial intelligence’s full potential roared into view, and when it became clear that there will be no turning back. For delivering the age of thinking machines, for wowing and worrying humanity, for transforming the present and transcending the possible, the Architects of AI are TIME’s 2025 Person of the Year.

My opinion FWIW is AI can be helpful when used in a medical or scientific research context.

I detest the way it's being used everywhere, and I ignore it as much as possible.

I have to accept it will never be limited in its use in today's world and maybe it will eventually take over the majority of jobs. Which is sad.

Re: Time Person of the Year 2025

I'm on the fence about AI.  I was also skeptical about changes when the internet was introduced.  I remember attending an introduction meeting at MIT with my boss.  He was all about it, but I remember asking, "does this mean we will no longer be talking with employees by phone?"  I didn't like the change, but it's obviously part of our lives now.  Regardless of our age we need to be open to change as it's going to happen anyway.

Re: Time Person of the Year 2025

I think Time is premature in commending these people.  Experts say AI could easily cause more harm than good in the future, especially since we don't have the foresight to regulate and control it.

Not impressed with the cover or the "person" chosen.
