As you draw closer and closer to God, you won't have to tell anyone

because it will show in your face. Lord, teach me Your ways as I am

ready and let Your love and peace flow through me even in my difficult

moments.

Scripture for the day:

"I can do all things through him who strengthens me."

Meditation for the day:

I can believe that my faith in God's power can accomplish anything.

There is no limit to what these two things can do. When we believe,

anything can happen. Saint Paul said: "I can do all things through him who

strengthens me." All walls that divide us from other human beings can fall

by our faith and God's power. These are the two essentials.

Everyone an be moved by these.

Prayer for the day:

I pray that I may try to strengthen my faith day by day. I pray that I may

rely more and more on God's power.

Hello my friends! Today's blessings were 1) nice quiet day at home with my

husband, 2) we took the tree down, got the living room back to normal, 3)

Husband made chicken on the grill, it was soooo good, I only ate one

drumstick yet - but it sure was delicious! 4) our visiting together about

his excitement about starting his new job - he'll receive some training

shortly so he can do his best job he can do - all the the greater honor of

God. What are your blessings? Praying for you all for all your needs -

thanks for your prayers for us.

A short morning prayer:

Lord, you are my friend, my Father, and my protector. I come to you on this

new day confident in your presence. I renew my love for you, trusting in

your guiding hand.

Lord, I want to hear the angels sing. Help me learn to listen.

Christmas Prayer

I said a Christmas prayer for you

Because the season's near

I didn't ask for riches

But for gifts so much more dear.

I asked for joyful gatherings

With your family all around

And for carols to inspire you

With their old familiar sound.

I asked for quiet moments

In your heart on Christmas morn

For a special time to celebrate

The Savior who was born.

I asked for friends to send their best

That you might know they care

I asked for peace and love and hope

And I know God heard my prayer.

Prayer for the New Year

May our God of New Beginnings and Wonderful Surprises,

Bless and Fill you

with the Knowledge and Reality

of Jesus walking by your side

Every Day and Every Hour of this New Year.

May the Light of Christ shine through each one of us.

May this New Year be

a time of Grace

a time to Grow in Faith and Love. Amen.

Thank you, Lord

Thank you, Lord, for friendship and love so warm and sweet. Thank you for

the little things that make life complete. Thank you for easing my worry and

pain. Thank you for the sunshine and the smell of spring rain. Thank you for

bringing comfort in times of stress and strife. Thank you for the precious

gifts you blessed throughout my life. Thank you for listening when I seek

prayer, and most of all, thank you for loving me and always being there.

I Believe...

A Birth Certificate shows we were born. A Death Certificate shows we

died. Pictures show we lived!

I Believe...

That just because two people argue,doesn't mean they don't love each

other.

And just because they don't argue,doesn't mean they do love each

other.

I Believe...

That we don't have to change friends if we understand that friends

change.

I Believe...

That no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every

once in a while and you must forgive them for that.

I Believe...

That true friendship continues to grow, even the longest distance.

Same goes for true love.

That you can do something in an instant that will give you heartache

for life.

That it's taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.

That you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be

the last time you see them.

That you can keep going long after you think you can't.

That we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.

That heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to

be done, regardless of the consequences.

That money is a lousy way of keeping score.

That my best friend and I can do anything or nothing and have the best

time.

That sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down,

will be the ones to help you get back up.

That sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry, but that

doesn't give me the right to be cruel.

That maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had

and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many

birthdays you've celebrated.

I Believe...

That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others. Sometimes, you

have to learn to forgive yourself.

I Believe...

That no matter how bad your heart is broken the world doesn't stop for

your grief.

I Believe...

That our background and circumstances may have influenced who we

are,but, we are responsible for who we become.

I Believe...

That you shouldn't be so eager to find out a secret. It could change

your life Forever.

I Believe...

Two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally

different.

I Believe...

That your life can be changed in a matter of hours by people who don't

even know you.

I Believe...

That even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries

out to you - you will find the strength to help.

I Believe...

That credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being.

I Believe...

That the people you care about most in life are taken from you too

soon.

I Believe...

That you should send this to all of the people that you believe in,

I just did.

The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of

everything we just make the most of everything.

A whole new year is mine today...

May I be wiser, Lord, I pray!

I'd strengthen friendships, old and true,

And learn to cherish new ones, too;

To keep on learning and to grow

A little better as I go.

To cast aside each grudge and grief.

And hold fast to a firm belief

That life is joyous, gracious, good

When lived in terms of brotherhood!

To welcome fun, and play a while,

To lighten work with a happy smile!

To thank the Lord and every day

Remember Him, and kneel to pray

In gratitude for strength and health

And blessings which are all my wealth!

This year's a gift from God to me

To spend, or use, or set me free..

A whole new year is mine today...

May I be wiser, Lord, I pray!

A prayer to the Guardian Angels

Holy Angel of my husband, I commend him this day to your powerful care. Be

with him in his daily work, shield him from every misfortune, and guard him

against all temptation from without and within. And you Angels of my

children look after them wherever they go and I cannot be with them. Let

them return home unharmed in body and soul.

Holy Guardian Angels of my children, you know that I can no longer protect

and oversee and control my children as before, when they were little. They

are entrusted to you. Therefore I ask you with all my motherly (fatherly)

love to protect them this day in body and soul, wherever they go, that they

may remain safe from all harm. Stir their conscience when they waver, and

lend them your strength. You behold at all times the face of the Heavenly

Father; beseech Him to turn all things to good, that one day in union with

you we may praise and bless Him forever.

Holy Guardian Angels of my children, each of you knows his ward better and

deeper than I can. Show me what to do to bring up my children rightly. Help

me to open their hearts to everything good and holy. Teach them to love

Christ as He deserves to be loved.
