Should you find your energy lapsing, a sure remedy is to give someone a
helping hand
or a word of support and make their day. Lord, You are patient with me and
loving. May
I be the same with the people in my life.

Scripture for the day:

"A lawyer, asked Jesus a question to test him. 'Teacher, which
commandment in the law is the greatest?' He said to him, 'You shall love
the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with
all your mind.' This is the greatest and first commandment. And a
second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' On these
two commandments hang all the law and the prophets." ~Matthew 22:35-40

Meditation for the day:

God has a plan for the world we live in. God's design for the world is
a universal fellowship of men and women, guided by God. The plan for
our lives is also in the mind of God. In times of quiet meditation we
can seek God's guidance, for the revealing of God's plan for our day.
Then we can live this day according to God's guidance. Many of us are
not making of our lives what God means them to be, and so we are
unhappy. We can miss the God's plan for our lives.

Prayer for the day:

I pray that I may try to follow God's design for today. I pray that I
may live my life today consistent with God's plan.

Hello my friends! Today Lori called me and asked if I'd take Ollie for the
afternoon and evening until she got back from a meeting, so sure, I did!
He's so energetic, fun, but can wear me out! He did manage to lose the
tennis ball somewhere in the house - he looked and looked for it! He
usually always finds it. He had a lot more fun here with me than if he was
left alone at home for more hours. I took him out often to go, and he
needed to. He's gone now - Linus worked from noon until 8:30 tonight, got
home around 9:00, and Lori got here just before he did, and I had a good
dinner on the stove waiting. Some beef, potatoes, and carrots all in my big
stainless steel skillet. They were both very hungry! My blessing today
was when Ann came over with Collards from her garden and some basil. She
says to use it like I use Kale. The basil smelled up the kitchen so nicely!
Love that smell! Another blessing was when Lori took Ollie home and I could
relax. Hey, I found one of my slippers in the patio - thankfully it was not
chewed into. Like a toddler, when quiet, you look what he's doing
It's been 8 years since Sammy was a puppy, forgot how that was. I know I
had to potty train him, Ollie was already trained. May you all find many
blessings to share tomorrow!
Praying for all of you - thanks for your prayers for us.

He Loves You So

By the Spirit
Jesus is letting you know,
That he will never
Let you go,

That his love for you
Is free and pure,
That you can trust him
And feel secure.

As you rest in Him,
Your God, your King,
Start counting the blessings
Your choice will bring,

For Christ is the friend
who will stand by your side,
While you dare to trust him
And truly abide.

By the Spirit
He will help you to grow,
Till your heart is assured
That he loves you so.

Several hundred years ago a wealthy plantation owner was attracted by the
heartbreaking sobs of a slave girl who was about to step up to the auction
block to be sold. Moved by an impulse of compassion, he bought her for a
very high price and then disappeared into the crowd.

When the auction was over, the clerk came over to the sobbing girl and
handed her her bill of sale, telling her who her owner now was.

To her astonishment, the unknown planter had written the word FREE across
the paper that should have delivered her to him. She stood speechless as,
one by one, the slaves were claimed by their owners and dragged away.

Suddenly she threw herself at the feet of the clerk and exclaimed, "Where is
the man who bought me? I must find him. He has set me free. I must serve
him as long as I live!"

Happiness...

We convince ourselves that life will be better after we get married, have a
baby, then another. Then we're frustrated that the kids aren't old enough
and we'll be more content when they are. After that, we're frustrated that
we have teenagers to deal with. We'll certainly be happy when they're out of
that stage.

We tell ourselves that our life will be complete when our spouse gets his or
her act together, when we get a nicer car, are able to go on a nice
vacation, when we retire.

The truth is, there's no better time to be happy than right now. If not now,
when?

Your life will always be filled with challenges. It's best to admit this to
yourself and decide to be happy anyway.

One of my favorite quotes comes from Alfred D. Souza. He said,"For a long
time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin - real life. But there
was always some obstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first,
some unfinished business, time still to be served, or a debt to be paid.
Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my
life."

This perspective has helped me to see that there is no way to happiness.
Happiness is the way. So, treasure every moment that you have and treasure
it more because you shared it with someone special enough to spend your time
with... and remember that time waits for no one.

So, stop waiting until you finish school, until you go back to school, until
you lose ten pounds, until you gain ten pounds, until you have kids, until
your kids leave the house, until you start work, until you retire, until you
get married, until Friday night, until Sunday morning, until you get a new
car or home, until your car or home is paid off, until spring, until summer,
until fall, until winter, until you're off welfare, until the first or
fifteenth, until your song comes on, until you've had a drink to decide that
there is no better time than right now to be happy.

Ecclesiates 8:15 - I am convinced that a man should enjoy himself, because
the only pleasure he has in this life is eating and drinking and enjoying
himself. He can at least do this as he labors during the life that God has
given him in this world.

Philippians 4:11-12 - ... I have learned to be satisfied with I have. I
know what it is to be in need and what it is to have more than enough. I
have learned this secret, so that anywhere, at any time, I am content,
whether I am full or hungry, whether I have too much or too little.

"The good life, as I conceive it, is a happy life. I do not mean that if you
are good you will be happy; I mean that if you are happy you will be
good." - Bertrand Russell

So Blessed I Won't Be Stressed

When I think of the goodness of God, I'm blessed.
The breath He breathed into my body early this morning.
Yes, I'm blessed.

The sight He placed in my eyes, the hearing in my ears.
Oh yes, I'm blessed.

The walking in my legs, the swinging in my arms,
the grip in my hands.
Don't you know, I'm blessed?

The voice in my mouth, the speaking in my tongue,
the blood in my veins.
Oh my God, I'm blessed!

With every beat of my heart, every thought in my mind,
every problem solved.
Listen to me, because I'm tellin' you, I am truly blessed.

As I think about the clothes that drape my back,
the food that graces my table,
Boy I'm blessed!

The place I call home, the furniture on which I sit,
the pillow that cradles my head.
The job that pays my way.

When you sum it up,
I'm so blessed I won't be stressed.

Eph 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has
blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,

Eph 1:4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that
we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,

Eph 1:5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to
Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,

Eph 1:6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us
accepted in the Beloved.

When we pray, God answers - in one of three ways -
yes, no, or wait.

Have you sometimes felt like your prayers are going
unanswered? Look up each of the following verses.
See if there are areas of misunderstanding to clear
up. Discover possible changes to make that will allow
God to answer your prayers, according to His will. I
pray that these verses will serve to bring you closer
to the Lord in prayer:

Reasons why our prayers seem to go unanswered:

--1. You have selfish reasons for asking.
You need to care that your request is in the
best interest of others in your life, or
is according to God's will.
Deuteronomy 23:5

--2. Your request is against God's will. He has
other plans - that are always better for you.
2 Corinthians 12:8,9; Deuteronomy 3:24-27

--3. You have unconfessed, repeating sin.
Sin breaks your fellowship with God.
Psalms 66:18; James 1:6,7;
1 Peter 3:7; Proverbs 28:9

Prayer requires faith, and faith is taking God at His
Word. The prayer of a Christian who lives in obedience
to all he knows about the will of God will be heard.
The answers such a Christian receives ought to be
accepted and acted upon, and glory given to the Lord
for expressing His will.

No Christian is perfect, and God understands that we
are weak. But God does not lower Himself to meet our
expectations. He lifts us up to meet His.

Have a great day in the Lord!

Mother Teresa Said...

"To join the congregation we need few things.
We need health of mind and body.
We need the ability to learn.
We need plenty of common sense
and a cheerful disposition.
I think common sense and cheerfulness
are very necessary for a wok like this."
