Re: Thread has run it's course

I don't see Marp's line about drugs.  I was one talking to one poster, both of us were polite.  I left for lunch with DH and just came back now and it's gone.  I don't see it, either, just went up in a cloud, apparently.  No one was out of line when I left hours ago.

In some cases a thread's closed down after the OP reports it to the Mods and requests a shutdown.

So one answer is that the OP no longer wants responses.

Yep, when the pile on starts, it's time to jump ship, lol.

Re: Thread has run it's course

I had one that the MOD labeled, no one was nasty, seemed like all nice comments, mine went to 10 pages I believe.   It was SO important that I can't remember what it was about, too funny.

That's the chances you take when you are just a "visitor" and don't own the forum.  Oh well.

Re: Thread has run it's course

Why is it when someone disagrees with an OP, it's called a "pile-on" or "board bullies", etc???  Heaven forbid someone has a different opinion.  Then the Mod Squad is called in and the OP disappears.

If your post is directed at me, I'm happy to clarify because I know the difference.  Oh and btw, I don't report the absurdity, I let the MODS decide when to put something to rest.

It wasn't directed at you at all.  I didn't even know you had a thread.  LOL  Actually, my post is "generic"......

Cool, I guess I'm annoyed that my thread about abused co-workers went all the way crazy, people were sharing some pretty important stuff but some just can't help themselves.

@sophiamarie,

Love your use of the term "mod squad."
