Re: Thoughts and prayers for our Northern Friends

According to the man on lockdown, they are hunting with huge numbers of officers and dogs still.

Wow, people are still in lockdown in the Parliament Building! 8 hours later.

And now they are convinced it was only one gunman?

It sounds like they're not saying. Maybe they're just playing it on the safe side.

Not the least bit surprised. Are there any other shooters? Or was he the only one?

They're still reporting on the news on CNN, you might want to check it out. Michael Something, Canadian citizen.

Michael Hall - changed his name when he converted.

It sounds like home grown terrorism. What are gun laws like in Canada? I think it's darned lucky he only had a shotgun!

There was a confirmation on CNN just now that it was a terrorist attack. I don't know who's speaking though. On now.

What exactly constitutes a terrorist attack - vs. an attack from crazed, angry gunman???

We had a guy shoot and kill a guard at a Jewish museum in DC a few years ago. He was anti-gvt. too.

The shooter supposedly had his passport to travel outside of Canada confiscated from him rather recently.

Ask them, it wasn't my description.

Just a general question...sorry, it wasn't meant for anyone in particular...

Here's an interesting piece on the difference between news coverage and speculation.

It's always a victory for me when I remember why I entered a room.

I hope they will start. They need to. I just heard on the news and you can't believe what the news says but they said America is on alert now and I think they should be.

Boy, you sure do sound familiar.

Canadians don't have handguns or sawed off shotguns either....or assault weapons. Nothing that takes a .25 or .32 caliber bullet.

Just shotguns (mainly for hunting).
