Yes, this summer has been terribly hot.  Breaking and tying temperature records here.  You wouldn't even know we are in our rainy season.  Autumn can't come soon enough for me.

Yes!   I hate, no HATE, summer anyway.  But it seems like every year we get a longer time in the heat and more days in the upper 90 to 100 range.

This year, again, I didn't get to use the a/c so I've been hatin' life anyway.   I don't do well in the heat.  Never have.  Plus I have asthma and other breathing issues so the heat makes that worse.    My arthritis causes much more inflamation in the heat as well.

I just want it to end.   Decades ago I was at a crossroads and decided to stay here because, back then anyway, we had about 8 months of cool and cold, a couple months of hot, and maybe a couple weeks in August of REALLY hot.  Now, it's almost opposite.

Bring on winter.  I'll take all I can get.  I'll be so glad to not be hot 24/7, since I'm home 99% of the time.   To illustrate how uncomfortable the heat is for me, my ideal temps would be highs in the low 50s and lows 20-30.  My bedroom needs to be below 60 to sleep at all.  It's not been below 80 in months. It's going to be such a relief when it cools down!  Smiley Happy

It's Arizona, it's hot. Same every year. One good thing is we haven't had a 115 degree day since July.

Western NC has been pretty much as usual.  The last 10 days or so, days we've had below normal temps.

We had a week or two here in NY when it was unusually hot but other than that, I have enjoyed the summer.

Re: This summer

[ Edited ]

Our summer has been crazy.

  • Record lows all spring
  • Record low on Memorial Day requiring jackets/sweats.
  • Flooding before Memorial Day from so much rain
  • No rain June, July, August
  • Serious drought.
  • Derecho (aka hurricane over landlocked) - There hadn't been any in my state for 75+ years and we've had several in the last 3 years
  • Record high temperatures
  • Tornadoes
  • Hail the size of baseballs

The weather and climate around the world is changing. More extreme weather. More highs and lows and more ups and downs. The weather we once knew growing up is gone. Expect the unexpected going into the future with the weather. It is what it is.

Here in NE/Central PA it’s been brutal. High temps, high humidity. An awful combo. This morning it’s already so humid that if I want to enjoy my morning coffee I have to go down to the basement to drink it.  ☹️
