great information. Buying a mattress is like buying a car... confusing, puzzling and it is one of those things you put off for years...

We need a new mattress. It's so hard to make that kind of purchase, IMO.

I hate buying a mattress. Worst purchase adventure out there.

The thing that really bothers me is that there is no way to compare prices because manufacturer's change the name of the mattress with different vendors.

There should be some kind of industry law about them.

PS....didn't read the article yet...still on my first cup of coffee

Seems to me I read some years back that a law wouldn't do much because the people in control of a huge portion of that industry don't follow the laws we have now.

That's so scary because we all need mattresses and they're terribly expensive even if you avoid sleep numbers and all the remotes that control positions, etc.
