That is rural, alright! Not for me, I like a grocery store, and other conveniences close by.

I did a Google Lens search and it said that place is in Wyoming. Address is posted on Zillow.

@Desertdi Phoenix was our big surprise on our road trip to Los Angeles. It is huge and stretches far and wide. I knew it was a large city, but not that large. The cactus! It was worth the drive to see the saguaro. They are something special.

We are still considered Rural Route but live at least 5 miles inside City Limits? This area used to be the Boonies.

The Post Office still has individuals driving there cars delivering our mail.

Wal-Mart, Lowes, Restaurants all within 5-10 mins.

That is the kind of place where some recluse serial killer might live and have the bodies buried out in that desert somewhere nearby to visit when things get lonely.

Or one of Dexter's safe houses to cut up & dispose of the bodies in peace.  Smiley Wink

I love it, @On It ,  with the few, hazy blue peaks interrupting the distant horizon!

I like so many different places, but the West, with its poetic empty spaces, has unlimited appeal for me.  Would just need a faint, wailing sound of a train in the distance, thundering to parts unknown...

As much as I fantasize about living in the middle of nowhere, it must remain a fantasy.

I have to be within walking distance of food, services and supplies.
