It's such a misrepresentation of what a plus size woman looks like.....if you look in any of the clothing stores the plus size section does not start with a size 12......plus size is typically size 16W and up.

Is that an Australian size 12, or US 12? An Australian 12 converts to a US 8.

I don't think that anyone really expects models to be ""representative"" of what everyday women look like (plus or not).

Designers still want bodies that show off their clothing well.

I agree. The first photo in the bathing suit looks nothing like the other photos posted. The body doesn't look the same at all. She looks gorgeous regardless.

None of these pictures depicts a true plus size woman as all of us know them. Many "plus size" models are size 12/14 or so and about 6 feet tall, so they are built and proportioned in a way that appeals to currently accepted, idealized standards. If you want to deal with real-life plus size fashion, you need a woman who is a size 18/20/22 and not nearly as tall, with a much softer, rounder shape, fuller chest, tummy, and bottom, and bulges and bumps that must be considered in dressing and styling. Reality.

thanks for that clarification softraindrops!......so, in other words, she WAS a plus sized model, but she has now lost weight.
