This Year's Snowfall

[ Edited ]

The Rocky Mountains have had bountiful snowfall this winter.  Year-to-date, the Wolf Creek Ski area has had 470 inches of snowfall.  Here's a picture from another location.

It's quite a blessing for the parched Southwest that will trickle down to several states, helping grow your California fruits and vegetables via the Colorado River.

All of this from Colorado.  Same situation in the Sierra Nevada.

Good place for it. If we ever get snow here, or I have to go north, I'll be ready. OTKbootd2-1_14_18 copy.jpg

We've had about 800 inches this year at the ski resorts with more expected tonight and this weekend. It's been a long hard winter.

I did not realize the snowpack was that deep at Wolf Creek.  I keep hearing reports about the Sierra Nevada. I wonder if anyone on here is in either location.

It will be interesting to see how the rivers and lakes are impacted. Hopefully, some of the water stress will be relieved.

I live in western NY . They were talking about this on the local news tonight. Usually, for the Rochester area , the average is about 94 inches. To date, we have had 49 inches. It is snowing now, but we are supposed to get less than an inch. I know our ski resorts were struggling this year and had to make most of their snow.
