This TOTALLY Made My Day!

[ Edited ]

So I was driving in to work this morning (yes, I had to work on a Sunday, & on a holiday) and it was still dark out.

I was driving on the highway where the speed limit is 50 mph. A car blowed passed me doing at least 65mph. Right behind that car, was a California Highway Patrol car.

I said "Go get 'em, officer!"

I watched as they got further away. I said, "What are you waiting for? Light him up!"

Sure enough, the officer turned on his red and blue flashing lights. I laughed and exclaimed, "Yes!!"

As I drove past the speeder who had been pulled over, I said, "Ha-ha! That's what you get for speeding!"

How many times have we seen people drive and just blatantly ignore traffic laws, with narry a cop around to catch them in the act?

It was good to see a traffic violator get caught.

So, yeah, that put a smile on my face.😊

I totally get it, @Anonymous032819 ! We drive I15 from Vegas to Huntington Beach regularly and get passed by cars doing well over the speed limit.  I consider them rabbits for NHP/CHP to chase.  I'm no saint speed-wise but I'm happy to let the rabbits run, as long as they don't cause an accident!

You're right. I used incorrect grammar. It should have been "blew past me".

I admit to my mistake.

I own it.

Writing my ticket LOL.  I should refrain myself, but I find it hard at times.  I am trying to keep my mind busy.

@bcherry01. I'm sure you meant "restrain" yourself (you "refrain" from doing something). 😁

Been there done that! I was giddy and I waved! LOL

I only work five minutes from where I live but yet I regularly see violations in that short amount of time!
I've been at my job for 20 years now and at least six times a car has hit my office building! It had been a while but it just happened again at the end of April. Lots of stupid people on the roads

Re: This TOTALLY Made My Day!

I know what you mean!  We live on a very busy road and I get so disgusted by the amount of speeders.  If anyone were trying to cross or an animal -- it would be terrible!  I think all the time --- please, let a police officer catch some of them ---but I really see it!  I have tried to cross a few times and nearly been run over....
