@Jordan2 ...... I agree with you 100% .... especially TWC/Spectrum .... they are the worst .... I have the "3 way" & my bill is approximately 200.00 .... I do not have any prime channels like HBO etc., ... it's so aggravating!!!!

Totally agree!

Hi Jordan!  Yeah, everybody does that and it annoys me too.

I get it, to the point that they want more customers and I'm not one to ever feel like anybody owes me something.  But I wouldn't mind some kind of reward for being a loyal customer for years/decades with some companies that have a lot of my money. Smiley Happy

I agree...That is why I change providers when my contract is up to get a new deal for new customers.   So unfair.  Even with jobs I felt the new people could dictate their hours while the employees who had been there got stuck with the bad hours.  Loyalty should be rewarded.

I'm sorry, but I wouldn't say no to a $5 savings. HSN sent me a coupon today for 25% off an item, good for 2 days. HSN does this often, why can't QVC do the same?

I got the same 25% off coupon from HSN (any item!) and I used that baby pronto! Sorry Q...the southern station is after your customers. I've been here since before the internet Q and I have NEVER EVER received any thanks or coupons( or $5) from from Q. Perhaps they should rethink just who they should THANK! How about your LONG time customers? Silly me.

I'm glad that QVC is finally offering a new member incentive.  It seems that everyone else has been doing it.

Yes, it might only be $5 but what's the saying, "it's the thought that counts!".........

And in their press conference following their first quarter results they indicated they were going after more new customers.  Meanwhile although improved slightly, their revenues were still down.  Perhaps if they offered more variety in their products and programming they might get their existing customers to buy more.

As a long time customer I get all kinds of notes from other retailers Ive done business with both online and locally, thanking me for being a long time customer giving me discount offers and coupon deals through the mail and email. And it would be nice if QVC showed their appreciation.

@Kachina624 It isn't about the $5. It is about more than that. You can barely buy a cup of coffee for that now. It is the lack of most businesses doing "nice little things" to keep existing customers. I have called and requested the "sweetheart" deals that Mediacom or WOW gives new customers and never once have they given me the "new customer deal".

To give you an idea:  WOW! gives new customers, cable with DVR and premium movie channels, internet and phone for $99 for 2 years. I was paying $178/month for cable with no premium channels and no DVR, internet and phone. I did call and the "best they could do was $168.  Not good at all. I canceled. Now all I have is internet.

I guess you either are very good at bargaining or they need to keep existing customers in your area. They don't in mine, we are a military town and there is a constant influx of new people.

 I haven't missed cable.

I buy very little from QVC now, just things I know I want and wouldn't have to return.

@CatLoverDogsToo @Kachina624

Well the days of the deals for both cable and satellite companies may be over.  My sis and several friends had Time Warner and when Time Warner switched to Spectrum, they inquired about special deals to renew their contract or they were going to look at other options they were told there is no more negotiating and no more deals--you get the current price they are charging for various packages and that was it!!

And once these streaming companies reach certain customer levels they will start to do the same.....there was one that has already upped their price.. I think it was Netflix, and the Internet Service Providers are piggybacking on that realizing the popularity and are raising their prices based on data caps....  Its a never ending cycle..............
