My late great cat, Jay Gatsby, a wonderful and wrathful creature, growled and growled (and _tried_ to bark) at the mailman every single day there was a delivery. He (the postman) asked me once what kind of dog I had. He said that Jay sounded like a mastiff.

JJ never got the memo that he wasn't a watchdog. What a character he was!

OMGosh, that cat does not like the mailman touching her door!!

I had a cat, Lizzie, that growled. She would growl like a dog when someone would come into the house.

Chase people through the house....growling the whole time.

DH said he would be the first guy being sued because the cat attacked someone.

The neighbor even bought me a sign..The Cat from H*** Lives Here!! I put it by the side door.
