I've owned greyhounds for many years, and have two living with me now. We lost our old lady last fall, and I still feel her loss. Just this evening, I was looking through Pet Finder, and our local animal shelter has a whippet/Italian Greyhound up for adoption. My husband does not want another dog, but I hate to think of that little sight hound being alone and scared at the shelter so I'm thinking of calling on Monday to see if he's still available. My birthday will be here soon, and I think he'd make a great birthday gift...better than a mattress set that my husband suggested. Who in the heck gets a mattress set for her birthday???
