I don't drive a lot anymore but I certainly do notice the terrible drivers here as the season gets going. One of my neighbors was saying that we get a lot of snowbirds fron large east coast cities like Baltimore and Phily and NYC and often they don't drive much at home but when they get here it is pretty much a necessity to drive - and they just don't do it very well.

@handygal2@LOL...you are so right on.I have felt your pain on that one many times.I have also been asked if I would mind holding when I finally get through to a person and my answer is yes.....I am fully cooked and it is someone else's turn to stew.I have experienced waits of up to an hour so sometimes my arm is sore and I am a little cranky but I guess that isn't the operators fault.

@dex: Speakerphone is helpful during those long "hold" times. Besides preventing sore hand and arm, it enables me to multi-task, so that l don't feel that the entire time is a complete waste! The problem is, sometimes the wait is so long, the battery on my cordless phone runs out, and l have to make sure l have an extension phone nearby for backup. I wouldn't want the call to go dead after all that time invested, lol.
