My first name is one of the common ones already mentioned. But my middle name was my mom's first name and it's interesting that I've been hearing it used now.
Mom's name was Clare. She was named for a county in Ireland. She used to get upset when people mistakenly spelled it as "Claire." 😉
I'm 3/4 Irish. The other fourth is Ashkenazi. Quite the combo, I guess!

My name BONNIE. And it means beautiful. My mother was enamored with Gone With the Wind. The daugher was named Bonnie Blue. I am Bonnie Lou. No that is not totally the story since I was named for my Grandfather Bernard and My mother's brother Louis.
It is not really a common name then or now.

@bonnielu I like your name Bonnie Lou. I grew up with two Bonnies, but their real name was Bonita. My town was heavily Italian.
