They Are Going To "Tell" My Husband

Someone at work said they thought I was driving too fast. Then they said they were going to "tell" my husband. First of all I was not driving too fast, and even if I were what is he going to do, take my car from me. I cannot believe someone would say this in 2012. This is not 1950.
