It's been like this for a few days now.
Maybe the board is being monitored for 'chattter' by posters with nics who want to discuss nefarious business.

Bing is part of windows update optional downloads. It might have been checked off (the little box) when you recently had windows updates. Go into programs and see where it is and delete it from your programs.

Here's a question for anyone who might know: FF has been my favored browser for a long time. A few days ago all of a sudden Bing popped up in the address line? I noticed when doing a search for example, the format of the results is very difficult to read and I liked the old format much better. I assume this has everything to do with Bing.
Does anyone know how to get rid of Bing? I uninstalled FF, then re-installed it. No luck.
Maybe moxie knows. She's the expert on Firefox.

I looked at my Programs and recently installed updates. There were a ton of updates installed on 3/13, but I don't see the word Bing anywhere. I guess I'll have to contact Microsoft. Thanks.

That's the reason I come here, for the 'nefarious chatter'!
BTW: I have had the Bing search engine thingy way before the QVC problems started. I emailed customer service about the problems but, of course, have not heard anything yet.

I googled How do I remove Bing from address bar? and this page came up -- click on a few links to see which works best for you.

We don't have the BING and it's still slower than molasses in January going uphill. I noticed the sluggishness when they changed to passwords instead of pin numbers.

This worked JustJazzmom! I followed the instructions to Reset Firefox. Buh Bye Bing! Thanks so much.
