I grew up in the middle of America’s heartland 

with ‘amber waves of grain’ and apple pie.....

and my dad physically, verbally & emotionally belittled 

my sweet, sweet mom for so many years.

So no...in my little, teeny tiny world, it wasn’t better. 

Hell on Earth can be anywhere.
