Can't add to the sugar thread so thought I'd post here.

I understand people not liking being told what they can and can't do with their own bodies. I don't like regulation about this either. But I have had my eyes opened a little by my son who worked for almost 3 years in an ER in NYC. (He now works in critical care in a different hospital.) He told me of the huge amount of folks who came into that ER with diabetes. And with that diagnosis, comes a bunch of other negative effects on the human body and likely a shortened life span.

For many, diet is the answer but of course, they can't be forced to eat heathier meals, no matter how often health professionals try to convince them. I guess we're our own worst enemies.

Anyway, some call sugar the other white powder. I myself have made the decision to cut down on sugar because of the info son has told me. On u tube there's an interesting vid called, Sugar the bitter truth. Interesting for anyone who wants to find out exactly what it does once we ingest it.
