DH and I saw the movie Wild this morning. We both loved it!

While I didnt rebel in the ways she rebelled after her mom died, I could relate to her feelings upon losing her mother young as did I. My father lived longer than mom, but I miss him and my mom both every day of my life and always will. They were both my best friends.

So her story touched my heart.

And I really admired how she hiked all those miles, and the lessons she learned along the way.

Now I am going to buy the book to read and so I can refer to some of the quotes from the movie. (and I rarely do that for movies).

I highly recommend this movie if anyone is on the fence.

I really like the actress and I identify with the trauma of losing a mother. I had that with my mother and now my daughter and I have the same close relationship.

I saw an interview with Reese about this movie. And she said she is at a point in her lift where whe only wants to play strong women. Not her words exactly, of course. But the parts she gets have to be showing women as positive and strong. The interview also showed her assistant for lack of a better word who works with her picking scripts, etc. It was very interesting.

DH and I saw it yesterday. I very much enjoyed it. I'd give it 3.5 out of 4 stars. I already waitlisted her "cute" REI boots, LOL, from REI. $300, yikes, but I had to have them. I thought the movie was very good. She did a great job in it!

I loved the book -- was thrilled when I heard they were making a movie.

Haven't seen it, yet.
