I can't imagine saying this about a child.
I used the same words that scottie did. My bad.
I didn't see where scottie said that, but then I haven't read the entire thread.
I would never call a child, deceased or alive, a "rotting corpse". There are some lines of decency you don't cross when it involves children.
scottie brought it up here. No one on this thread stated that she was a rotting corpse until scottie brought it up. People used the term corpse, but scottie, once again, had to push her little buttons and no, she wasn't quoting anyone on this thread.
Thanks for clarifying b.

At this point, I think if the family had evidence she was alive, they would have presented it.
I haven't faulted them, but like I said, it's all about the evidence. It would be very easy to have Jahi's physical condition verified by an independent medical expert.

If "rotting corpse" is too macabre, how about "decomposing body"? Or "decaying remains"?

But they keep their selves in the news with ridiculous stories and continue to collect money and other support on that dead child. They can take all the time they need to grieve but stop seeking publicity!I know Cody but it just makes me ill to see them ridiculed. I'm not sure what I would do in their case, this entire situation has me unsure of what to believe.
I have an idea. Leave the thread and let those interested in this topic post in peace.
Jane IS interested in this topic and has every right to post here. She certainly has NOT disturbed the peace, she has been very polite.

Here's how I see it, not that anyone gives a fig
. The family was able to make the press about the 8th grade graduation. It doesn't appear that Jahi will be enrolling in high school so this is likely to be the end of the line for that type of thing.

I agree. If she were my child and truly recovered after being declared brain dead, I would be shouting it from the rooftops that the medical professionals were wrong, that she is alive! It would definitely be something medical science would be interested in IF it were true.

and that is what most people stated - they talked about decomposition. Only scottie would take that and turn it around to rotting corpse - because that has more of a visceral image. Posters were being polite and delicate around this subject matter.

All this reminds me of the SNL bit Chevy Chase did on the weekend news:
Saturday Night Live - 1975-76Chevy Chase: "This breaking news just in, Generalissimo Francisco Franco is still dead".

I think of it this way, if she were the child of my sister, my friend, my co-worker or anyone I knew personally, could I refer to their child in that manner?
100% I know I couldn't.
