Re: The car thread got me thinking....

The only name that ever stuck was a Lincoln we had years ago, and for some reason we called him Larry. It caught on not only with our family, but when we went to turn it in the salesman even called him Larry. We still laugh at the whole Larry thing.

Nope, never even considered it.  But I remember that when I was a small child in the 1950s, our first family car had a nickname - the Green Hornet.  I believe that he was a superhero from the radio.  Our car was a green Plymouth sedan, thus the nickname.

@qualitygal , we had two elderly ladies in town, twins, one was named Nelle, the other Belle. Both are names you hardly ever see. Cute car name!

No doubt you are younger than I am, but Nellie Belle was the name of a jeep that a sidekick of Roy Rodgers named.  I can't even remember that man's name. It'll come to me. His real name I think was Pat Brady. Why I know that, no idea. Probably wrong.

Frankie???

I love it 🥰

I didn't think I had named any of my cars until I saw the poster that said her car's name was Pearl. I used to have a Ford Explorer and the color was Pearl, a beautiful tri-coat pearl color.  I think that's my favorite color car ever.
