S*x offenders were giving out candy to the children when they have restraining orders and they aren't supposed to have children around them or near them at all.
There was another thread here regarding trick or treating. Those that pass out the candy and those (like me) that no longer will do so due to the OP's post and warnings by the police. I also agree with post No. 3, the children and parent are fat enough and look like they've been eating candy all year long. Also, my lawn and parkway is littered with the wrappers that they toss. As soon as they get the candy, they gobble it and toss the papers all around. Now where are the environmentalists and the nature lovers to comment on that litter and behavior?
Maybe you should move. Kids where I live were very respectful and certainly didn't scatter anything. And as far as your crack about kids being fat.....just goes to show that adults teach their children to rag on people who are different.
Have a nice day. Sounds like you need one.
I am actually having a nice day most every day. Just stating the obvious and agreeing with another poster. Move? Maybe the children should go to their neighborhoods to do their trashing and not visit mine. Don't you watch the media? They are always warning the parents about the obesity of the children in America - start with telling them how they rag on about it first. Lots of work for you to do. Also the medical community.
First and foremost children do not become obese from ONE DAY of indulging in sweets.
Your post smacks of bias and however you think you are veiling it, it is crystal clear.
Your take.
You still and another poster need to visit and pick up the litter of your ONE DAY of indulging the munchkins. I don't think my post is veiled at all, it's obvious. I didn't start the thread. Also, you didn't address those that were vandalized in the nation or harmed by others on that night of 'indulgence'. That's in my post as well. You are at liberty to see as crystal clear as you want to. You can believe whatever you want to as well.

I have one particular fond memory of handing out treats on Halloween. I had run out of candy early (we were still getting a lot of kids at that time) and I had to resort to a jar of lemon drops I kept handy since I used to be prone to sore throats. I remember being somewhat embarrassed, but when I opened the door one kid shouted out 'ooh, lemon drops!' in a very pleased voice. It made my night.

The parents drive them here and then walk with them up and down and then pile back into the car to head for another street. Heard lots of screaming and laughter too. We didn't participate again this year. The kids (and their parents) are fat enough and look like they've been eating candy all year long.
Wow - beyond rude. You may be thinner but they are no doubt nicer people.
Wouldn't it be nice if this country was known as the fittest instead of the fattest? Yes, it would!

Already posted on other thread - I'm rural, live on a narrow country road and the houses are not close - we have never gotten kids. Most now take their kids to town and they close down a long road to traffic and the kids get candy from merchants. The other thing I saw that night is trunk or treat in the parking lot of churches.

Ok - ban Halloween altogether and watch America slim down overnight.

Yes, it is an inconceivable idea to imagine the slimming down of America to those who are addicted to sugar.

IMO it's more about banning any type of fun that other people are having.
