And then, if you lose power and your phone's battery needs charging....you are ahead of the game.

There are so many devices on the market to charge a phone.  Type battery packs on Amazon.  My car can charge my phone when the car is off.

Re: The annual question-what do you use to schedule your life?

Kitchen wall hanger calendar for both appt's.

1 main one by my chair, with 2 others for fun things

1 slim one on my bedroom desk.

The more I write these things down, the more they stick in my head.

1 purse, for when I am out and need to write down appt's.

Then there's the hanging one for his shop.

Good thing we're sent many of these calendars.

I'm an old-timer.  I just use a little paper calendar that I get free when I donate from charities.  I keep my appointments and DH's in it.

Sometimes " dictatable " results are questionable.  Back when I did a career search project, my clients quickly learned to proof read their work.  ( Calendar vs colander for example ! )

Even the voice transcription that comes over my cellphone can be hysterical!  I just love the cell phone question: Was this transcription helpful?  NO....too many blanks and nonsense words !!!

May be AI would be more useful or more " creative. "

Re: The annual question-what do you use to schedule your life?

I use an old fashioned monthly planner, small so I can put it in my purse.  I dont have a lot of appointments, mainly just hair and nails, and medical related.

I found using this a good thing for me when I scheduled a couple of appointments on the same day at the same time (or close).

Let's hope that the electric grid is never severely damaged or destroyed.  So far this country has been spared except where severe hurricanes have occurred.

Going "paperless" has its attractions until technology is compromised from delivery ( internet ) to encryption.

OH I KNOW!   I don't have a problem if I'm adding something to the shopping list, I'll know what it is, but when I'm on my phone and dictating to the forum...yikes!  I try to catch my mistakes but I don't always (catch them).  Everyone seems to be very gracious by not pointing it out.

I guess that's just a risk I'm willing to take.  I pay my bills with my phone.  OMGosh, to write a check, put it in an envelope and a stamp (I don't even know how much stamps cost today) would be 10 steps backwards for me.  My Forever stamps will probably last longer than I do.  73 cents! Smiley Surprised  A first class stamp is 73 cents.  omw  They were 15 cents when I got married in 1979
