IMO, Clark should win this whole thing. JLo's comment about his style is a joke IMO. If she has any ideas of how his style should look, perhaps she should talk to the people back stage that help him get it together.

I remember when Phi Phillips won and all he wore was a T-shirt.

We haven't seen the end yet (DVRing it) and I think it's time for Qaasim should go home.

I agree with you. Some of the other contestants are WAY overdone in my opinion. It's almost like they're wearing costumes. Clark looks just fine to me.

Unless I heard it incorrectly. I thought Ryan said "we have big news. The top 5 will be going out on tour". It's such a shame. Now, I wouldn't go see this group if the tickets were free and I was picked up at my house by helicopter and lowered into my seat, but one of the big things on Idol was always the Top 10 tour. I feel bad for the contestants. I'm surprised they didn't cancel the tour totally this year. But whatever they were going to do, I think they should have announced it at the beginning of the year.

Again, I was underwhelmed last night. Clark was the only one who was good in my opinion, but not good enough to buy his cd. I thought Joey was off key and I just don't care for her style. I didn't care for Jax at all and the others were just not memorable now that it's been 12 hours since last night's show.

They probably decided this more recently based upon the lack of talent this year...knowing that people will not pay to see anyone beyond the top 5 (much less the top 2 or 3). It's also less expense for AI with only 5 touring.

I have now become a "part-time hanger-on". On my way to complete rehab at the rate this is going!

Re: The Weekly Idol Thread (easily confused with crickets....)

the last 2 weeks when Quaasim tried to show he could actually sing he was horrible so thank goodness he's the one who left since Rayvon can really sing. JLo had to make the point that he did have a good voice but I sure never saw it. He was a lot of fun to watch but unbearable to listen to. Still think Tyana is a great singer and should be in the finale with Clark.

Re: The Weekly Idol Thread (easily confused with crickets....)

Best of the night was Tyanna...with Clark close behind. Joey has such a distinct sound...I also noticed her teeth seemed a little whiter (but she had a softer pink/rose colored lipstick on instead of that orange/red which makes her teeth look even worse) Jax....ummm....I'm a fan of her too but her version of Poker Face didn't impress me...my DH who didn't know the song liked it....so what do I know?....LOL

I don't get the appeal for Nick....he looks uncomfortable and makes faces like he is in pain or having a good you know what in the bathroom. He bores me to tears. In a way he reminds me of Kris Allen who won Idol the year Adam Lambert was on...but Kris went nowhere...in other words Kris Who?....I feel the same way with Nick Who?

I'll miss Qaasim's perfomances but vocally Rayvon was better so America got it right last night.

I don't think Quaasim is a even good performer, let alone a good singer. I am glad he was finally voted off. I think JLo was just trying to make him feel better.

I believe the final will come down to Clark and probably Tyana, who has a really lovely voice. I want Clark to win, I think he is not only the best of the lot, but a really good singer and very good looking as well. Not sure if he has the stage presence a "star" really needs, but I would certainly buy his CDs.

Re: The Weekly Idol Thread (easily confused with crickets....)

I have watched this shows since its inception.

After what I thought was a horrible season last year, I had no trouble not ever watching again.

However, last year I discovered the Voice. I used to browse the posts here but just never watched. It's a faster paced show and the talent is so much better than AI. JMO but I think AI jumped the shark a few years ago.

The Voice is alll about the coaches - hands down....if Blake/Adam left that show it ouwld be a colosal failure. They have yet to produce a mega star like Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood.... and lets not forget the ones who didn't win who have made names for themselves like Jennifer Hudson, Chris Daughtry, Adam Lambert. The Idol franchise seems to really invest in their contestants where the Voice seems to be just a talent show with no afterlife.

I used to watch the Voice but got bored with the Blake/Adam bromance stuff.....they need to rename the show to the Blake Adam Show and have the contestant be guest stars.

I have never watched the show, but I agree no stars have ever come out of it and as I said in either this thread or another one, I think this show is all about the judges or whatever they are called. I think you are totally right about that.
