As it is the holiday season, The View had Marlo Thomas as a guest reminding folks of the St. Jude charity for children. I remember watching her as a teen on her series 'That Girl'. I admired the outfits and her overall grooming. I know it's just costumes and make-up but it was something that was different. She was a brunette and at the time when blondes were being pushed. Her difference made her stand out. Now, years later, she still looks good for her age group. I am glad to see that she didn't give in to appearing slovenly, matronly, or frumpy and dumpy. Of course in the past, some cosmetic surgery was done, but it was not overdone. As a brunette myself, years later, I feel I had someone I could admire who was not so different looking than myself. Reminded me that positive influences and examples come from so many places.
