have not turned on Today in years. when i worked it was GMA and our local news as i got ready for work. then later i liked Today because it seemed to appeal to an older demographic. KL anmd Hoda did as well and then overnight, the entire format changed to entertainment news. when Ann Curry was there the news was more hard news, then she got booted out. i just saw her as a hard news journalist and they wanted to go to fluff entertainment.

I remember growing up on the today show was a great show to watch. That continued for decades. I stopped watching about 10 years ago when it was clearly going downhill fast. What a shame. The daytime talk show is not my thing and I certainly don't want to start the day with it.

There is no real information or real adult content any more. Even the "cooking" bits are so rushed there is no point to having them.
I liked to see Hoda and Kathie Lee until Hoda went on maternity leave and Jenna Bush took her place. Needless to say, I haven't watched it since, even when Hoda came back. Just not very appealing to me anymore.

UGH, I can't stand any of those 3 shows. I'll tune in every now and then just to see if they have improved and no they haven't. They became silly, fluffy and dumb a couple of decades ago.
If I have the TV on in the morning, I'm switching from MSNBC to CNN and back. I don't need someone makeing a fortune on the Today show teaching me how to make a grilled cheese sandwich.

There is something for everyone, and it depends on your preferences and the amount of time you have available. If you want JUST the news, there are channels for that .... or online.
The morning shows have evolved into variety shows ..... and by the commercials you can tell that their target audiences are the retired and the SAHMs. I think the morning shows are more for people who have something on as background, and everyone on it is supposed to be in a good mood.
If it was a two hour show of just the news, most people would go back to bed and pull the covers over their heads.

I stopped watching The Today Show years ago. Matt is boring and I have no idea who is his side kick. When they lost Katie Couric the show went down hill. I know they are trying to make a come back with hiring that woman from Fox but I doubt if that will help. They need two need strong people to host the show. Matt & his co host need to go! ![]()

That's why I don't watch any of the daytime talk shows.

I have no idea what you're referring to. Who are the "snippy arguing couples" and the "feminists rule supreme"?
