Re: The Richest Man In The World

I would live differently. Money (and far less than multi-billions) would enable me to buy privacy and live far, far away from people!

It would make problems that are solved by enough money solvable, the rest would be business as usual. I read somewhere that his parents invested their life savings in his early venture. They didn't understand the internet, but they believed in their son. I certainly do my part to support Amazon, LOL.

Re: The Richest Man In The World

The diner I eat at ,the food is prepared right in front of us from scratch

The restaurant we eat at is a family run business, and has been for decades. They own a meat market, and  3 other restaurants. They always get awards for their food

Our health dept always lists violations ,and they are never mentioned

I have friend that works there and they always say how clean it is

You never know what a cook in your home might do ,either. I would rather not have to deal with a servant

@cherry

I don't think they are called servants any longer.  Chef, maybe.

There are many reports showing that the food of many if not most restaurants is not all that healthy.

There are many, many people who can't spend the time or don't have the ability to shop and cook well for themselves.  Usually because of disability, age or health.  It's a growing need in this country.

@cherry

I'm not thinking of only myself.  I mentioned others with needs different than yours and mine.  We are not all the same.

I wouldn't mind a few extra $$.  I don't care about billions but a few more eggs in the nest would be nice.

Re: The Richest Man In The World

If I ever had that kind of money, I would like to be an anonymous benefactor  to people who fall between the cracks

I think that  one of the hamburger tycoons wives did this. She would fly into areas ,that had  faced a disaster and pass out money to the needy
