Hmm So they poof but don't know why.

Hi voyager1980

There was more to their e-mail. I did not put everything that was said about my thread in my prior reply. To sum it up it pretty much said that some threads are more prone to go "south" than others and thus are deleted. That I understand, as I have seen many of them go that direction, some of which I was a party for the reason it got deleted.

Thanks! Good for you for asking & good they at least tried to explain (:

They actually implied that they delete threads/posts because they "might" go south???? How do they determine that? Why not wait until they do go south before they do their poofing?

We are not children here FHS. So what if someone says something that others may disagree with. Isn't that what VP is for? I'd like to know who makes the determination to delete things that just "may" take a bad turn.

Just saying what I was told in their response to my e-mail to the QVC Social Team.

I am assuming they determine it from the topic of the post and also from lots of years of experiencing what happens on certain topics.

Personally do not know why they chose this method of deleting posts.

I don't think it is the disagreement with which they have the problem. More the words and tone used to relate one's disagreement with someones post and/or reply.

Don't know "who" makes the decision but judging from the reply from the QVC Social Team, they are not the ones. They said "they reviewed the post" so I am guessing they make the final decision. To me that means "someone has to actually take the time to write to them and complain or maybe even call them".

People telling their problems to someone else is not new to me. I always told many co-workers I could not do anything about their b**** and that they should take the time to do it to someone that can do something about it if bothers them so much. Most of them preferred to complain to me or someone else as opposed to telling it to someone that had/has the authority to actually do something about it.

Why do people complain to someone that can do nothing but listen? Beats me, but I always told them to tell someone that at least might be "the one", but that it was not me.
