I used to work in the incentive travel biz. We had packages for all kinds of different destinations, from lazy beach trips to busy urban destinations. For New York, our agent could arrange NYPD ride-alongs. None of our clients ever booked this option, and we were always nervous about offering it in case something awful happened.

This is a copy of what I put in my ""amazes me"" thread also.

Thanks to the QVC team for undeleting my original post after I e-mailed them asking why it was deleted. They responded very quickly to my request and I want to thank them and also let others know that they do listen.

The person sending me the e-mail said this:

"" We reviewed the thread and were unable to determine why the thread was deleted."" ""The thread has since been undeleted"".

Hmmm, that could explain why so many other things just disappear for no reason.

I did not see the original thread, but do remember this program. I wasn't aware that it's still around.

And I have no idea why a thread about it would disappear.

There was more to their e-mail. I did not put everything that was said about my thread in my prior reply. To sum it up it pretty much said that some threads are more prone to go "south" than others and thus are deleted. That I understand, as I have seen many of them go that direction, some of which I was a party for the reason it got deleted.

To sum it up it pretty much said that some threads are more prone to go "south" than others and thus are deleted. That I understand, as I have seen many of them go that direction, some of which I was a party for the reason it got deleted.

They actually implied that they delete threads/posts because they "might" go south???? How do they determine that? Why not wait until they do go south before they do their poofing?

We are not children here FHS. So what if someone says something that others may disagree with. Isn't that what VP is for? I'd like to know who makes the determination to delete things that just "may" take a bad turn.
