[Lost in MT]

Hi Everyone,

Used to post here a few years back. At home today because of bad roads/weather and was cruising around the computer and found that the Pet Chat is still around. Hope everyone is having a good day. I'm still owned by my two terriers and cat.

Hey everybody - may I join you? The Pet Lovers Forum is the only place I can come and know absolutely there won't be any arguments, mean posters, etc.! (Also the Kitchen and Food Forum) I'm currently owned by a little black and white female "tuxedo" cat named "Baby Cat", age 16, and an orange and white little girl named "Missie", age 6. Previously over many, many years had two other sweeties named Kitty and Mikie, and two little miniature white poodles. So I guess you could call me a "pet lover"! The weather is beautiful here in NC today after a "not too bad" ice storm last week.

Doxie, you mentioned cake....there is a thread on the Recipe Swap forum about a Cream Puff Cake-I went on and when I looked at the OP's pictures, it made me want to jump in it face first! It's now on my "to do" list-make it and eat the whole thing!

Welcome Lost in MT and kittymomNC! I am so glad to meet you both. Make yourself at home. I have been a part of this wonderful group for about a year and 1/2 and wouldn't trade the friendships I've made for anything! I hope you will feel welcome. Lost...I didn't know you from before but I am glad you came back. Kitty...this is absolutely the friendliest place to come to share, laugh, cry and pray!

kitty - That cream puff cake sounds pretty good.

panda- glad you are feeling better.

zoo- you will believe this. We went to the duck pond and the ducks and geese were out. We were sitting on a bench and I reached in to trow some food to the ducks and fish. I flung some in the water and there was a mad dash for the food. Ducks were chomping on it and fish were gobbling and a dachshund was flying...Wait a minute..that is my dachshund. It seems that Schatzie decided she did not want to share food with her friends. It was amazing how it looked like she was flying over the water. Gravity took hold and she landed in the duck pond with the snapping ducks and nibbling fish. Some of the fish are as big as her. I am realing her in when a duck snapped at her. She turned her torpedo shark body around and went after the duck. The duck did not back down and kept snapping at her. Schatziewas swimming and barking at the duck while I am trying to drag her back. Air Liebchen to the rescue. She jumped in and landed by the duck and snapped at its feathers. I am madly realing in both dogs now. I drag them up the bank with the duck following them. Schatzie looked at me as if to say, "I did not start that". Liebchen looked at me with duck feathers hanging out of her mouth as if she were saying, "I will have a duck salad sandwich" I had to go hose them off before we came home.

Thanks for the welcomes! Doxie, I needed a laugh this morning--it's like a movie running in my head, your dogs and the ducks...too bad you couldn't get a video, it would have been popular on YouTube!!!
