The Novel Network

Has anyone heard of or subscribed to The Novel Network? I was on Amazon looking for some free books for my Kindle and saw the link to this site. It looks like for a one-time membership fee you can download free books, bestsellers included. It looks too good to be true, and I know how that one goes (!), but just wondering if anyone had tried it and what your experience was. The fee is supposed to be $49.95 only one time, but as you navigate away from the page, they offer it for $29.95. Anyone?
