I've seen this on TV, not youtube. And I too remember them getting a deal on Shark Tank. When I see this coming on, I change the channel.

Dude Wipes are so overpriced. A feat of marketing. It is to be admired.

The one with Tom Selleck attempting to get people to sign over their homes to a predatory lender.
I know he has a lot of fans here, but I find his willingness to shill for such a company much more offensive than butt crack wipes.

@CalminHeart I was kinda shocked that Fox and Ice would even appear in something like that Car Shield ad...
The same reason Shaq does The General, Icy Hot & Epson printer commercials--->
Now ya'll leave Uncle Tracey & Aunt Viv alone.

Actually, yes. The research that went before the product indicated that a high percentage of men queried thought "wipes" were for women and children.
Adding the word Dude opened men's eyes to the possibility that they could improve their health habits.
It obviously worked and mothers of teen-age boys also starting buying them.

This is a Shark Tank deal that Mark Cuban invested in.

It sounds totally discusting. There used to be standards on what was shown on TV, but those went by the wayside, years ago.
It seems that now, anything goes. Does "free speech" have to mean nasty, crude and unpleasant? I doubt that it was intended to be used that way.
Heck, I remember the days when Lucy and Ricky a married couple, had to sleep in single beds, as did Laura and Rob Petrie.
Back then, they couldn't even say the word "pregnant". That was silly.
We've come a long way, haven't we ?
Too far!
Not to mention the Lume commercials. Oops, I just did.
What caused the shift was when people started getting their news & other information online. Years ago, these ads were in magazines and the daily newspapers.
When was the last time most of us regularly read a daily newspaper we held and flipped pages through?
All advertisers HAVE to go where the readers are now .... online and on TV.

The latest Lume commercial where the inventor says: "You know that smell you notice when you sit down?"
I'm thinking: "Gosh woman, you must really stink, what smell are you talking about??!!"
Obnoxious and annoying? - Yes, indeed. ![]()
