Anyone that's financial savvy would say months & months ago, the Bear Market would make an appearance this Fall. My Financial Advisor made the necessary precautions...since the downturn was predicted.

I started the thread to say why the market is down, not to bring into question anyone's financial acumen.

It's a wonderful opportunity to buy at bargain prices. A very big sale. Stocks are the perfect Holiday gift.

Point I was making....it's not current events. Yes, certain events can make the market wobble a bit, but What Goes Up, Must Go Down...it's the law of nature.

We jusr got a letter from our finance guy saying to fear not.

In September I rolled over my old 401k into a Fidelity IRA. I was up 5% on the year.

I remembered that October tends to be a brutal month for stocks and decided back then to wait until mid-November to get back in. It's sitting in a cash account now.

WOW - I made the right call! What a shocker!!!!
