The Kitty Cam Study

Has anyone heard about this? University of GA spent a year tracking 60 cats equipped with cameras/videocameras as they spent time outside. The results have caused an uproar between the cat community and wildlife conservation (specifically bird people).

Basically, it was found that the outside cats/feral cats are "killing" lots more critters than was previously thought (and the cats are only consuming about 30% of them so folks are saying it is not that the cats are hungry). The cats only bring "home" less than 25% of the prey.

Anyway, the website has lots of photos and videos of the year long study (which was also sponsored by National Geographic). You can read the results for yourself. The advocacy group Alley Cat Allies has publicly stated that these results are grossly over reported...
