I often sit here and wonder are there really some available jobs out there or not? With so many people unemployed I wonder, do people just not take certain jobs, as in do they refuse some jobs because its not what they studied in college, or what they used to do, or due to a pay cut?

The reason I ask this is, my entire family and DH all have jobs and good jobs in various markets. For instance DH is in manufacturing and works 7 days a week all thru the bad economy. Other family members jobs include; office jobs in sales, resteraunt jobs, nurses, medical secretary, a scientist, customer service, an accountant, and even a computer programmer. Then my neice got home from living overseas and found a job in just one week. All of them have benefits and excellent salaries. So these are all various categories of jobs.

I thank God for this every day, and I dont mean ANY disrespect for those struggling. (and I wish you luck if you are unemployed) but I was just wondering what you think? Are there jobs out there and some people just arent taking them for whatever reason because they are trying to stick with the "kind of" job they had before? Or are we just lucky and live in an area "with" jobs here? (we are all in PA but in various areas)
