The Freedom Riders ~~ Documentary on PBS Monday, the 16th

You all being Americans know already that this is a movie about the civil rights activists that rode interstate buses into the segregated southern part of the U.S. The first Ride left DC on May 4, '61 and was scheduled to arrive in New Orleans on May 17th...

Some weeks ago checking out what this was all about, I turned on Oprah who had the main activists on her show and was sorry I didn't get to see more of it, as I had seen very little about this, already having lived here several decades.

In case there are others interested in U.S. history, just f.y.i.
